They certainly have the right to voice their opinions, but what is interesting is the utter contempt they show for anyone who is not in line with the President.
- Allowing Arlen Specter to chair the Senate Judiciary Committee makes no more sense than Michael Moore becoming chairman of the RNC."
Arlen Specter = Michael Moore. Got that? Apparently now there are only two camps, the far right, and terrorist-comforting leftist liberals.
The statement goes on show how out of line Specter is with President Bush. It then states:
- Specter betrayed President Reagan—we can expect him to betray President Bush.
So much for checks and balances. A Senator who is not strictly in line with all policies of the Whitehouse, we can't have that now, can we? To do so would be a "betrayal" of one's President, one's party, and one's country.
As if it wasn't scary enough that the Bush cabinet and CIA are being re-made with loyalists. Despite having a clear majority in both the House and Senate, the witch hunt must continue.
